Visiting Prague

Last weekend we flew to the beautiful capital of the Czech Republic, to visit our friends Kate and Vasek from the Z Jerene kennel. We were there to pick up Wizard (Lemosa Hopes Mandrake). We decided to fly there because of the winter weather, it's only a 80 minute flight, so we were there really quickly.

We spent the first day in Prague and enjoyed the beautiful winterweather and had a great dinner that night together with Kate and Vasek. The next day we walked to the beautiful medieval Karlštejn castle with the dogs. At night we had a lovely dinner with Kates sister Stania and her husband and daughter. The company and the food (those Czechs really know what good food is!) was excellent!

Thank you Vasek and Kate for this great weekend!

Here are some pics of our trip.

A fun day!

Yesterday we spent the day with our friend Monique and her family to visit Finna -Finna Faeryn of the Hunters Pride- and to have fun day together with the family. Monique's parents co-own our Bella -Atia Bella of the Hunters Pride- with us and her brother and sister in law own Hunters -Ed Venture of the Hunters Pride-. And they all came to visit and it was a fun seeing them all again! Monique and her family also own a Hovawart named Lancelot, 2 Basset Hounds named Roos and Luna, and a bunch of other animals :-) Below are some picture we took that day.
Thank you Monique, Marco, Verene and Fjodor for the lovely day!

Lizzy's Mad Max of the Hunters Pride

Lizzy went across the rainbow bridge today. We were so sad to hear she passed away, but we also felt happy for her because we know she will be her happy self again up in heaven, playing with all her canine friends that passed before her.
After the passing of Lizzy's mother Jacky, she became the matriarch of the Hunters Pride family. We are proud to have her great granddaughter Daisy with us. She will live on in Daisy and her pups.
Lizzy was so sweet and kind we have many happy memories of her. Her owner Jolanda (founder of our kennel) and her family are so sad that they had to let her go, our heart goes out to them.
I wanted to share a collection of pictures we took over the years of Lizzy.

Lizzy you will be missed but never forgotten

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
